The folklore group called “Monte Pŕtulo” was founded in Sant’Angelo Romano (Rome) in 1977 with the intention to re-discover and popularize old traditions of Sant’Angelo Romano and Roman province.The group name derives from the hill where the antigue “Medullia” (now Sant’Angelo Romano) arised. The repertoire is based on folksongs, dance and storicall evocations selected by the same group members. The group consist of 30 persons and the staff has got an accordio, flute, trumpet, oboe, tambourine,and other tipical percussion instruments of the middle and southern Italy. The group has made many performances in Italy and abroad receiving thanks to the veriety and vitality of the dancers, unanimus consent by the audience and critics.
